Upright and Arching Leaves

Dracaena trifasciata (formerly Sansevieria laurentii) and Chlorophytum comosum grow together in this kokedama plant, each with a distinct foliage shape. Sansevieria has upright, sword-like leaves marked with deep green banding and yellow margins. The Spider Plant spreads outward with slender, green-and-white striped leaves that arch over the moss-covered base.

Japanese Moss Ball Presentation

Both plants share a hand-wrapped moss ball, the Japanese form known as kokedama. Each arrangement includes either a Grey Patina Tray or White Patina Tray. For a raised display, place it on our Small Wrought Iron Planter Stand or one of our Granite Stands, sold separately. The added height gives the Spider Plant's longer leaves room to hang below the moss ball.

Growing Together

The Sansevieria maintains its upright habit as it grows, while the Spider Plant gradually produces longer leaves and arching offshoots. Over time, these changes become more noticeable around the edges of the arrangement, where new Spider Plant growth extends beyond the moss ball.

IN A NUTSHELL

Sunlight Icon Bright, indirect light is ideal. Sansevieria also tolerates lower light. Avoid prolonged direct sun.
Care Icon Allow the moss ball to become dry before watering. Low-maintenance with occasional pruning as needed.

Please note: Live plants may vary in size and appearance based on season and grower availability.

Not happy

"I paid for some kind of shipping insurance, and then my plant was lost for a week. When I contacted Bloomist they indicated it was not their problem."
