Coffee and ivory run through the full fiber content of the Cortez Throw Pillow, a double-sided 20" x 20" pillow woven in Peru from 100% naturally colored baby alpaca with no dye applied at any stage. At 2.9 lbs with the insert, the double-sided construction keeps the face consistent and the loft present through daily use.
The micro stripe on the Cortez is woven directly into the baby alpaca, coffee and ivory alternating in a tight vertical repeat across the full face. The two tones sit close enough in value that the pattern reads as a warm integrated texture at room distance and resolves into a clean stripe on close inspection.
Baby alpaca is graded at 22.5 microns, the finest classification of alpaca fiber, sorted manually after each annual shearing. At that fineness, it sits softly against the skin, naturally free of lanolin. Each strand is hollow, trapping warmth efficiently, the pillow lighter in the hand than its construction suggests.
