Hand-thrown in Evanston, Illinois by ceramicist Julia Finlayson, this match strike pot brings functional beauty to countertops, mantels, and bedside tables. Shaped on the potter's wheel using dark stoneware clay, it's available in two finishes: a grey created with matte white glaze over dark clay, or a matte black glaze that showcases the clay's natural depth.
Julia works exclusively with Bloomist to create small-batch functional pottery. The textured strike surface on this ceramic match striker's exterior lights matches with ease, while the interior holds your supply within reach. Each ceramic match pot is formed individually, with subtle variations in glaze and form that reflect the handmade process.
