Shaped by hand in Morocco and inspired by the antique ceramic forms of Tamegroute in the south of the country, this Modern Moroccan Candlestick is cast in raw clay with a soft matte surface that feels chalky and tactile to the touch. It is available in three heights at 7, 9, and 12 inches and sold individually to build the grouping that suit your space.
Tamegroute has a long ceramic tradition built around distinctive, heavily glazed forms. This candlestick takes that silhouette and strips it back, leaving the stepped profile in raw white clay without glaze or finish. Each white ceramic candle holder carries its own subtle variations in surface and form.
Set tapers in two or three at varying heights down a dining table, and the silhouettes build naturally into a display that works lit or unlit. Line them along a windowsill or shelf for something more spare. They pair particularly well with our Beeswax Column Candle, the warm honey tone of the wax sitting naturally against the raw white clay.
