The Cortez Reversible Throw runs fine vertical micro stripes across a 53" x 70" field of 100% baby alpaca. The stripe gives the throw a directional quality, the vertical lines moving with the fabric as it drapes and folds.

The Stripe in Motion

Draped across a sofa back, the micro stripe follows the contours of the throw, the vertical lines curving with the fabric. Folded over the end of the bed, the stripe stacks in horizontal bands across the fold. The reversible construction shifts the tonal relationship on each face, the ivory ground reading warm and light, the coffee ground deeper, both subtle enough that the throw reads well from either face.

Two Tones from the Raw Fleece

Alpaca fleece comes in 22 naturally occurring colors, from near-black through warm browns to ivory and silver-grey. The coffee and ivory on the Cortez sit at opposite ends of that warm undyed spectrum, both present in the fiber before the fleece is sorted or spun.
